I understand that the Southern Oregon Time Bank (SOTB) allows its members in the community to exchange services through reciprocal acts and empowers individuals to give their gifts freely and learn to receive graciously.  I understand that my involvement in any specific transaction or activity is completely voluntary and at my own discretion. There is no guarantee of receiving any value for services that I may offer through SOTB.

As a member of SOTB, I understand that SOTB does not guarantee or warranty the fitness, safety or quality of work of any of its members, and that SOTB does not assess anyone’s skills or verify any licensing.

As a member of SOTB I agree to undertake and request neighborly acts of kindness, caring and assistance with other members of the Time Bank. I assume the risk of injury, harm or damage in connection with my providing or receiving services offered, promoted or arranged by SOTB.  I agree to hold SOTB, it’s employees, contractors, agents, volunteers and/or Board of Directors harmless from any and all liability, actions, claims, consequences and damages of any kind, including those caused by or arising from negligence or injury to person or property.

As a member of SOTB, I will try to the best of my ability to respond to a member’s request for my services within 48 hours, be polite, helpful, and clear about the amount of services which I can provide, perform quality services to the best of my ability, and perform my services in a safe and careful manner.  I understand the specifics of every service are to be negotiated directly between the person offering and the person receiving the service, including the number of hours required and the provision of any materials involved.

I agree that I will not charge or pay money for services, trade my hours for money or goods, or in any other manner use the Time Bank system for any reason other than Offering and Requesting services. I understand that doing so could cause tax repercussions and affect the nonprofit status of SOTB. I understand that doing so will result in the immediate termination of my membership.
As a member of SOTB, I consent to the following actions:

• that I am using my legal first and last names, and correct contact information;
• that the references I am providing may be contacted;
• that SOTB may release relevant information concerning my ability and fitness to work as a Time Bank member to those seeking to utilize my services.
• that my contact information and selected information from my registration will be published in the SOTB member directory and shared with other SOTB members

I understand that SOTB membership is free, and that donations are accepted to help cover the cost of printed materials, web hosting, software, part-time coordinator, outreach, sponsored events, etc.

I understand that I will not be able to use the offers and requests on the website until I have had an orientation, my reference check has been completed and I have been approved.  In the event that I am not approved, any Time Bank donations will be returned to me within two weeks.

By checking the "Accept" box, I certify that I have read this document carefully, that I understand its terms, that I recognize that it constitutes a waiver of legal rights, and that it is enforceable to the extent allowed by law.
